New York firm launches effort to help users with adMarketplace removal
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 03, 2011
adMarketplace, an internet advertising firm located in New York City, recently announced a new initiative to help internet users remove malware that carries their name.
The Park Avenue based firm, which provides advertisers a platform outside of traditional lines such as Google Adwords for the purchasing of ad space, states that they recently became aware of a virus that redirects internet surfers to publisher's websites in order to increase their web traffic and earn more money in the advertising system. The malware, known on the internet as the "admarketplace virus" or "admarketplace.net" redirects users against their will to websites within the adMarketplace.com platform.
adMarketplace.com affirms that they had no hand in developing such software, and has publicly stated that any member of their platform that is found to be using such underhanded techniques to drive traffic will be dealt with harshly.
The company's website states the following regarding the matter;
"As a prominent marketplace for data driven advertising, adMarketplace.net serves thousands of direct advertisers. The Internet's largest marketers and agencies rely on adMarketplace.net to deliver search performance outside of Google, Bing, and Yahoo...If one of our publishers is not attracting visitors through compelling content - but instead through unwanted malware - they are violating their agreement with us.
We understand that mal-ware can be quite infuriating and we have dedicated ourselves to assisting any users that wish to fix their issues. Despite the fact that we have no association with any malware, we still believe it is our responsibility to ensure a high quality experience for all users."
