Windows Proofness Guarantor is yet another fake anti-spyware that’s part of the Fake Microsoft Security Essentials infection. What this infection does is alert you that an Unknown Win32/Trojan has been detected on your computer, after which a fake scan process will start.

Once you press OK in the message box, Windows Proofness Guarantor will automatically download and install on your computer, after which the malware will reboot your computer.
After your computer reboots you will immediately notice that you are unable to access your normal desktop screen. Instead you will be presented with the Windows Proofness Guarantor main screen. You will then be prompted to scan your computer again. Of course this scan is another forgery and obviously Windows Proofness Guarantor will suggest that your machine is infected with numerous infections. - Download RKill, Shell.reg and Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware (MBAM). Note that you might not be able to access the internet from the infected machine. If this is the case then you will need to download these three programs from a working machine and copy them on the infected computer via CD/DVD, USB Flash drive or any other means.
- Run RKill in order to kill any processes related to Windows Proofness Guarantor. In case you get warning messages suggesting that RKill is a threat for your computer ignore them. That’s simply Windows Proofness Guarantor trying to preserve itself. Also, you might not be able to complete this step by using RKill. If this is the case then you need to download another renamed copy of RKill e.g. iExplore.exe from the RKill link above, and repeat this step by using the newly downloaded version. From there go to the Scanner tab, check the Perform Full Scan radio button and then press the Scan button below. This step might take a while so be patient. After the scan is complete press OK in the message box.
- After the scan you will be presented with the full list of threats found on your system. Make sure to check every one of them and then press the Remove Selected button. After MBAM finishes disinfecting your files you will be asked for a reboot. Please do so.
