How To System Adware Scanner 2010.
Ok, now we reached the removal guide part of our article. We will still use Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware to remove the System Adware Scanner 2010 virus and the protection driver, although it is originally blocked, but we’ll guide you through all the steps. Remember to follow each one closely. In addition, just like with other malware removal guides that we have here on SoftSailor, it’s probably best if you print out the steps, as you’ll have to close ALL applications a little further in the removal guide.
Step 1: Go here and download the rkill file on your desktop. This is a file designed to terminate any malware process. The System Adware Scanner 2010 virus might interfere and block rkill. If this happens, while rkill is still running, run it again to trick the virus. Essentially, run rkill until System Adware Scanner is closed. This is essential because, like mentioned before, if System Adware Scanner 2010 is running, it won’t allow you to run Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware.
Step 2: Go to our download page here and download MBAM. Save the setup file on your desktop.
Step 3: Now close all applications and windows. From the desktop, run mbam-setup.exe.
Step 4: During the MBAM install process, make sure you don’t deviate too much (or at all) from the default settings. It is also very important that you tell Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware to automatically update itself and then launch.
Step 5: When MBAM loads, perform a quick scan by going to the scanner tab and choosing “Perform Quick Scan”, then pressing the “Scan” button.
Step 6: Wait for the scan to be complete. Once it’s done, press the “Show Results” button. Select all the infections (not only the System Adware Scanner 2010 related ones) and hit the “Remove Selected”.
Step 7: A log of the scan will be displayed in notepad once the malware removal process is complete.
At this point you should have removed the System Adware Scanner 2010 virus, as well as related files and other malware that MBAM detected.
