Messaging Architects, global experts in email risk management, announced today that M+Guardian, a virtual appliance offering policy-based protection against spam, malware and data leaks, has received a VBSpam award in the latest round of comparative testing conducted by Virus Bulletin, an independent journal covering prevention, detection, and removal of spam, viruses, and malware. Virus Bulletin tested 20 anti-spam products for this review.
The test results for the M+Guardian virtual appliance received one of highest spam catch scores, including image and large spam, with an overall rate of 99.95%. Notably, M+Guardian identified and rejected 95% of spam messages on the protocol level without the need to analyze the actual data. Protocol-based security is one of the core benefits and a strong differentiator of the appliance.
