Tech info summit Jan. 25, south of Carthage, Ill. – Keokuk Gate City Daily
CARTHAGE, Ill. – Western Illinois Technology Services Group is presenting a technology information summit, open to the public, from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Sullivan and Son Auction Center, eight miles south of Carthage on Highway 336. Registration begins at 11 a.m. There will be networking and social time opportunity after the presentations from 4:30 to 6 p.m. with snacks and a cash bar available.
The following topics will be featured: Social Networking, Google Apps, Future of Email, HP Products, Secure Networks, Trend Micro Virus Protection, Virus Removal, Broadband Update, Fiber Optics in the Home, Smartphones in the Workplace. Representatives from area computer and technology companies will present the various topics in 20-minute sessions and many will have booths set up with more information and door prize drawings. Representatives of Illinois Broadband will be on hand to share information of how other regions in Illinois have greatly expanded their broadband offerings and explain what to expect next.
