Virus Removal??
What is the best free virus removal program? I’ve tried 3 different ones these past few days and some of them pick nothing up at all, the others pick TONS of things up and I know they’re there. Which is the best free one to use??

Try look for an answer at http://www.pcfixlive.com , its a site for solving problems “the Easy Way” , and it’s not related to any special software supplier at all. It’s up to you to read the reviews and decide for your self.
Most of the software dev. have a section for free downloads, but its a good idea to red the reviews first.
Wish you good luck.
get AVG antivirus, its free
you can also try avast which is good also.
Be careful of what scanner you use. The ones that say your computer is infected with every single virus known to man, then ask you to buy the registered version is fake and a scam. Try this scanner:http://onecare.live.com/site/en-US/defau…
Well if you want a free one then your options would be AVG or Avast.
I am using Kaspersky for the last year and the half and its been doing wonders for me.I would also recommend Mcafee ,Kaspersky or Bit defender.Norton and Bit Defender are heavy on system resources.
Kaspersky takes around 15 to 24MB of RAM only.
So go for Kaspersky
Downloadable:
I use a combination of AVG(Free edition), Spybot S&D, and ZoneAlarm Firewall. All are free and reputable.
Online:
http://www.pandasecurity.com – An online virus scan
http://www.ewido.net – An online spyware scan that usually catches things that spybot has missed.
Give ThreatFire a shot; I just discovered it last week and it’s been doing wonders; been installing it on every machine at work.http://www.threatfire.com
I recommend either Avira AntiVir or Avast Home Edition.
Avira has slightly better detection rates, but Avast scans your email and can be scheduled to do a boot-time scan, which Avira can’t do either. Also Avira has always given *me* automatic update problems. So I use and recommend Avast; but if you choose Avira, keep an eye on its update logs to be sure it is updating properly.
Avira AntiVir PE Classic: http://www.free-av.com/
Avast 4 Home Edition: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-…
Avast – http://www.avast.com
try SpyBothttp://www.spybot.com
it’s free. also try AVG (free edition)
Good luck!
The best free on is AVG …
You can download it from here …http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl…
But the paid version has more options and better stealth to find viruses and spywares.
But if you spend a little more time, you can understand how to deal with virus/spyware/adware.
Check this link …http://www.compset.net/article_spyware_a…
After using all of those, I have found Kaspersky to be the best antivirus. Again, its my opinion. You can buy the latest version here …http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000U81…
Benefits of Kaspersky …
* Three protection technologies against new and unknown threats: 1) Hourly automated database updates, 2) Preliminary behavior analysis, 3) On-going behavior analysis
* Protection from viruses, Trojans and worms, as well as from spyware and adware
* Real-time scanning for email, Internet traffic and files; protection from viruses when using ICQ and other IM clients; protection from keyloggers, rootkits, and more
* Rollback of unwanted changes on your computer; tools for creating a Rescue Disk
* Self-defense of the antivirus program from being disabled or stopped
Hope this helps you .. good luck!
