Is This The Conficker Virus Or Just Mozilla Firefox?
It all started yesterday in the afternoon, my browser keeps closing suddenly and saying there’s been an error. I don’t think it’s the Conficker because I have my anti-virus running and my computer seems to be working fine (and also, its when i go to a few websites only). So what’s up?
Is it really an error, or is it crashing? If it is crashing, you have nothing to worry about.
Okay try to go to Microsoft.com if you cannot view that page then you probably have the conficker because conficker only doesn’t let you go to certain sites such as microsoft. IF YOU WERE ABLE TO VIEW THE MICROSOFT PAGE -Okay so you probably have a regular virus so basically all you have to do is run a scan with your anti virus software and see if it detects anything. And if it does not detect anything then you can download AVG it is the best FREE anti virus program available you can get it here. http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-vi… But it might actually be some sort of Trojan or malware so if AVG does not detect it then for that you need something else here you can try this malwarebytes its the best! you can get it here http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-An… And that should finish off the job. but if none of this works then you probably have the conficker so you will need a very good anti virus program my cousin had the conficker and Mcafee got rid of it for him its an amazing anti virus you can get it at any store such as staples.

Conficker has not received commands on what to do yet so its not it. It may be another virus or your browser. Also since your anti-virus is working your not infected with Conficker, the first thing it does is disable your anti-virus and firewall. So i recomend you run a virus scan, if that turns up nothing un-install and re-install firefox.
Try to update your firefox and do a complete scan of your pc.Some sourves said the latest firefox update has two security holes.I don’t know if that is realy true cause I run firefox too,but you can find help on mozilla’s site.
have you tried re-installing mozilla? although conficker thing is on all the news, it’s not responsible for all the possible computer problems.
If you can get through to ANY security vendors website… then you are most likely NOT infected !!!
