How Do I Get My Computer Back Normal After Using Smitfraud Fix?
ok…when i had (IE defender pops-ups) coming..I came on yahoo answers on how to get rid of it…I used smitfraud fix…now after I did the safe mode..and returned to normal mode…got rid the spyware (IE defender)..but my screen is still blue…and I have no sound on my computer..why is that? I don’t know how to shut down the program completely.
I wouldn’t recommend using the tool without guidance from a qualified malware removal specialist if you’re not sure about what you’re doing.

You may have to have a specialist have a look at it or try posting on a security forum and see what they suggest

I know this sounds like the most basic of all things, but have you tried running chkdsk (or whatever your OS’s version of chkdsk is)?
While I’m sorry that you’ve had this trouble, the Smitfraudfix doesn’t generally require expert guidance; thousands of people use it regularly. But I am sorry you’ve had this trouble and I don’t know how to help you fix it other than trying to use system restore to go back to before the IEDefender infection.
A good forum to seek further advice is majorgeeks.com. It’s free of course, but you do have to register.
And again sorry that the smitfraudfix seems to have goofed up your system, but you never really know for sure what really did it.
Edit: Did you by some chance use any other program besides the Smitfraudfix and perhaps quarantine something?
