How Long Will It Take For Smitfraud To Scan My Disk(40gb)?
I’m asking through another pc. My infected pc is in safemode. It holds 80 gb but 40 gb is filled. Its already taken 2 hours. Norton antivirus scan is also running and it has also not finished.
Smitfraudfix.exe takes a few mins to run.
Norton antivirus can take forever (heavy on the CPU).
You should only use one scan at a time as it will take longer to run two scans especially if they are both trying to access the same thing at the same time. One has to slow down for the other to scan. Try pausing one scan then let the other completely finish then let the other scan resume.
well thats a lot of storage and the scan is worth the wait—why are u in such a hurry –let the program do it’s job
and think about running malwarebytes anti-malware next (in safe mode)
