Win32 Virus Removal

I am using mcafee and spybot Search &destroy tool for security in my machine. I frequently scan both. A couple of days before scanned with spybot, it showed me virtumonde adware found and it tried to remove but cannot. when i scanned thro mcafee it does not show me any threat. So for the past one week my machine is very slow and monitor is flickering suddenly for a couple of seconds and turn normal. The Internet explorer is closing suddenly. Same with mozilla firefox also. how can I check and remove the adware if it is there. somebody help

My husband has downloaded something and suddenly my computer is riddled with viruses. I have removed 21 so far, but this one just wont go away. He said he downloaded a video viewer to view a profile on MYSpace and everything went haywire after that. {answer}
