What is a good anti virus software that I can download to my pc for free?

I have a trojan called RootKit.Agent.ODG. My ESET security anti-virus says it is unable to clean the file so can you recommend a good anti-virus site/tool for me to remove the trojan? I can’t seem to find a free and reliable one that doesn’t have spyware attached to it.

I need a very good portable antivirus for windows xp.Virus Removal tools are programs for removing malware.
