How do i get rid of smitfraud, virus, trojans, etc?

I was having issues with my computer already and my school (I’m in college) sometimes sends us software they recommend we download and I thought that’s what the Smitfraud virus was. So I bought it. I’ve deleted the software off my computer but other than that I’m not sure what else I should do, if anything. Am I in any danger?

I have a warning sign on my screen saying spyware detected, run virus checker, some say it might be smitfraud but how do i make sure i have that, i have run checkers like spy bot, addware, symantec and windows defender, but sign is still there, any ideas people, thanks.
