How Do I Remove A Trojan.vundo.b From A Rar File?
I have not unpacked the .rar file. I prescanned the .rar file b4 unpacking and it said it contains TROJAN.VUNDO.B my norton av cannot remove the threat do I just delete the rar file and empty my recycle bin or unpack the .rar and then try to remove through Norton AV?
Dude, I recommend you just delete the entire thing. (You go it off a torrent site didn’t you?)
The thing about the Vundo series is that they are getting super nasty. Mal_Vundo-4 is very very hard to fix…seriously, you have to be a computer science major to get it off your machine.
On top of that, you are using Norton..? May as well have some wet toilet paper ready to capture it.
Just delete the file bro.
Your machine is too expensive to be fooling around with infected files.
And yes, empty recycle bin, clear cache, cookies, scan–do everything to make sure you are clean and good to go.
1 find the file that supports the spyware. (go to your start menu and go to “search”. do a search on the name of suspected spyware.)
2 delete it, it’ll probably have an error message, if it does then go to the task manager ( ctrl, alt, del) and go to processes find the suspected spyware and end process.
3 go back to the file and delete it. it should go away with no problem.
If that doesn’t work then use an antispyware software.

Good luck!
I would prefer AVG antivirus rather than norton. uninstall norton and download AVG from http://www.grisoft.com/ and than do a scan of the file.
hope i helped
I would delete the whole .rar file itself. Why take the risks?
