2 ways
1st is to use an anti virus software... what i can recommend is you use NOD 32 or KASPERSKY
or you could just manually delete from the directory
go to the directory where the virus is lodged then delete it manually
thanks and God Bless

Viruses are often found in that folder, so it will survive system restores. Try manually deleting it, and finding out which file is giving you this virus. Manually delete the program with the folders etc, clicking to do anything that has a virus is risky.

Zlob Trojan.
Google out and download SmitFraudFix.
Oh and before you run SmitFraudFix, disable System Restore.

It looks like jibbarjabar, has this one...
Although you didn't say anything about if this is XP Home or Pro.
As to manually go into this folder you will find out that windows will not let you go into this folder without some permissions set. You will need to set yourself some permissions in order to go into this folder.
I know XP Pro you can do this, however, since I hardly never messed with Home (it sucks) I cannot tell you on this, I am sure that you'd have to be logged in under the ADMIN account in order to do this.
Good call jibbarjabar!

C:/system Volume Information is where your System Restore files are located. Therefore, the malware is in your System Restore files which are basically locked by Windows so your security software cannot touch it, to remove the infected file.
The solution is easy. You simply need to delete all your old system restore points. To do so:
go to control panel > system > system restore > check mark "Turn off system restore on all drives" > apply > answer "yes" > OK > reboot. Then turn System Restore back on again.
Voila> Zlob gone!
